Pop Mart's Grapevine Mills location near Dallas-Fort Worth sits in one of the fastest-growing metro areas in America, and the store is benefiting from a demographic sweet spot: young families with dual incomes and a culture of enthusiastic consumption.
The Family Dynamic
What struck us most at Grapevine was the parent-child collecting dynamic. Unlike coastal stores where adults shop solo, here we saw families treating blind-box shopping as a shared activity. Parents and kids each pick a box, open together, compare. It is bonding through surprise—and Pop Mart's price point ($12–16) makes it accessible as a regular family outing rather than a special occasion.
Store Observations
The Grapevine location is on the larger side for a mall store, with a dedicated kids' zone featuring lower shelves and a small play area. This is a design choice we have not seen at other locations and suggests Pop Mart is testing family-oriented layouts for suburban markets.
Texas-Sized Hauls
