Sawgrass Mills is Florida's largest outlet mall—a sprawling, air-conditioned labyrinth where tourists hunt for deals. Pop Mart's decision to open here is strategic: international tourists, especially from Latin America and the Caribbean, make up a huge chunk of foot traffic. For many of them, this is their first encounter with blind-box culture.
The Tourist Effect
We visited on a Saturday afternoon and the store was a mix of three distinct groups: American teens who knew exactly what they wanted (Labubu, always Labubu), Brazilian families discovering blind boxes for the first time, and a handful of serious collectors checking for restocks of sold-out series.
The staff had clearly been trained for the tourist demographic. Bilingual signage (English/Spanish), a "How to Play" guide at the entrance, and patient explanations of the blind-box concept for newcomers. This is smart retail: meet people where they are.
Inventory Notes
Outlet malls typically mean discounted stock, but Pop Mart does not play that game. Prices are identical to flagship stores. What you do get is access to older series that have sold out elsewhere—we spotted Dimoo "World Travel" and Molly "Career" boxes that were long gone from the NYC store.
The Verdict
Not a destination store, but an excellent opportunistic stop if you are already at Sawgrass. The older inventory is the real draw—if you missed a series at launch, check here before paying aftermarket prices.
